DSS CAREER DAY 2019

Extracurricular activities are those activities performed by students outside the main curriculum. Such activities help to boost confidence, build personality, give a sense of belonging and refresh students. In fact any Secondary school education that does not include extracurricular activity is incomplete.
It was a beautiful day on Thursday the 30th of May 2019 at the College Of Education Secondary School, as they marked their annual CAREER DAY Tagged LIVING OUR DREAMS It was organized to showcase the different fields of study the students can venture in the future.
Special guest speakers in the various fields of study and professions were present to mentor the students on their future career path.
Present amongst the guest speakers were:
Mr. Olufemi Adekanye from Aerocontractors limited,
Madame Ogbonna Rosemary (French, Public and International Relations),
Mr. Ebobra T. (Entertainment Industry),
Mrs. Clementina Edor (Nursing),
Mrs Uzomba C. (Business),
Rev. Fr. Tega Louis (Counselor),
Miss. Nkem Philippa (Agronomy) ,
Mr. Okoduwa M. (Politics),
Mr. Kedikumo E(Teaching),
Mrs. Helen Orobor (ICT),
Barr. Mrs. Nancy Awaritefe (Law) ,
DJ MOET (Entertainment) and
Mr. Desmond (a Security Consultant).
There was a beautiful drama piece by the students of SS2A advising parents not to dictate career paths for their children but help the children build on their strength, interest and skills. This will help to determine the career paths to choose.
It was a very rewarding experience.
