College management in collaboration with the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation arranged a two day intensive Train-the-trainer ethical conduct/leadership retreat for top officers of the College.
The theme was tagged 'Understanding the fundamentals of governance ethics and public service value mentality; The role of public employees towards an ethically sound organization in the change era'.
During the closing ceremony, ten members of staff whom the training body judged to be people of high ethical values, were given awards.
The Provost, Prof. (Mrs.) Mary Olire Edema, stated in her speech that the training is necessary because sometimes, officers tend to fall off standard ethical principles. The training served as a reminder of the ethical values that is expected from officers. She encouraged participants to further train staff under them, so that they would be more efficient and productive.
She congratulated the ten awardees and all participants.
Participants expressed gratitude to the management for the retreat because it was a rewarding experience.
