WICE Warri Chapter Celebrates Send forth/End of Year Party

On Thursday 14th December, was a cherished moment as the Women in College of Education (WICE) celebrated their end of year/sent forth party for the retirees who retired from the College from 2018 till date.

The event which took place  at the Prof. A C Unomah hall, College of Education, Warri, had in attendance the Provost, Dr, Dickson Oyovwi; Deputy Provost, Dr.(Mrs.) Fidelia Ighrakpata; Chairperson of WICE, Mrs Faith Lori; College Bursar, Mr Emmanuel Aforigho; the COEASU Chairman, Comrade Oghenevize M. Umukoro; SUCCON Chairman, Comrade Joseph Erikpokpor; NASU Chairman, Comrade Timothy, Ogbogbare; Dean School of Arts & Social Science and Chairman Committee Deans, Prince Uchenna Osassmor; Dean, School of Vocational & Technical Education, Mr. John Iteku amongst others.

The Chairperson (WICE) Mrs. Faith Lori in her welcome address, was delighted to see that the ceremony came to reality. She stated that the party was organized  particularly to celebrate ”Senior Citizens” who retired from 2018-2023. She thanked the Provost, Dr Dickson Oyovwi for his gracious support to the association and also accepting to be the chairman of the occasion after a short notice. 

The Provost; Dr Dickson Oyovwi who was Chairman of the occasion, in his speech, was greatly amazed and applauded the organization for setting up the end of year/send forth party. He welcomed all guests present, and stated that everyone should be merry and enjoy the company of the  retirees.

The COEASU Chairman;  Comrade Oghenevize  M. Umukoro, in his good will message, stated that he was delighted to know  that the retirees are still strong and gave  appreciation to the organisers for the ceremony.

Dr Victor Omoraka, in his good will message said that he is happy to see the faces of the retirees and wished them all the best. He also appreciated the organization for setting up the sent forth party and prayed that God will keep everyone to see their retirement stage.

There was  presentation of gifts to the retirees. It was indeed an awesome moment.
