7TH Edition of TRCN Induction at College of Education, Warri

The 7th edition of Teacher’s Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Induction at College of Education, Warri was held on Wednesday, 31st January 2024. 

A total of four hundred and fifty seven- (457) inductees were inducted into the Teaching Profession.

The Chief Executive/Registrar of TRCN, Prof. Josiah Ajiboye was represented by the Director Regulation, Accreditation and Enforcement of TRCN, Dr. Okunola Abimbola Hammed. In his address, he appreciated and applauded the Provost, Dr. Dickson Oyovwi and Management team for their commitment to the TRCN body. He congratulated the inductees and appealed to them to build themselves in line with the twenty-first century innovative international best practices in teaching.

He declared that teaching profession is more critical than any other profession in the world, adding that the narrative of teaching and learning is changing gradually. He encouraged the new inductees to match up with the standard.

The Provost, Dr. Dickson Oyovwi (JP) in his address, welcomed everyone to the Induction ceremony. He stated that Teachers are Nation Builders and that through their perseverance, love and sacrifices, they have shown us the right part in which great men have built nations. He also mentioned that teaching is one of the most challenging profession in our society where knowledge is rapidly changing and is made available to both students and teachers. He charged the inductees to be equipped and ready to face the task ahead of them. He congratulated the inductees and wished them success.

 The Provost then officially presented the inductees to the TRCN Registrar, and they were duly inducted into the teaching profession amidst cheers.

The Deputy Provost, Dr. (Mrs.) Fidelia Ighrakpata while delivering the vote of thanks , appreciated the TRCN Registrar, ably represented by Dr. Akunola Hammad and also the TRCN team for the good working relationship with the College.
